Your duties

At Trusted Shops, we have made it our mission to create digital trust between people and companies. Our goal is to become the #1 Community of Trust. Our unique combination of Trustmark, authentic customer reviews, and buyer protection helps millions of consumers shop online with confidence every day. Now we want to push our development even further and build the next-generation trust platform. Headquartered in Cologne, Germany, we are a fast-growing and profitable SaaS company operating in a dozen European countries with over 800 employees.

Home of our product development is the Products & Engineering department, which consists of 14 cross-functional product teams across 3 product domains, working in an agile environment.

We are looking for a Group Product Manager (f/m/d) for our Consumer Domain (B2C) who thrive in a creative and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about shaping our product strategy, advancing our mission, and finds fulfillment in guiding and aligning product managers in our B2C-focussed product teams towards achieving our goals.

What your role is about:

  • Strategic Leadership: As integral part of the domain leadership team, you will define and lead the direction of the domain. You will ensure the product teams inside the domain are united by a shared mission.
  • Product Alignment and Coaching: As Group Product Manager (f/m/d) you support, align, and coach all Product Managers (f/m/d) within your domain. You are instrumental in implementing the domain’s strategic direction, ensuring it aligns with the overarching company strategy and our product portfolio.
  • Holistic Product View: You will maintain a holistic view of our products, defining domain goals and priorities. Your role is crucial in achieving set goals through professional orientation and strategic sparring for the Product Managers (f/m/d) in your domain.
  • Holistic Customer Journey Focus: Cultivate a seamless and harmonious product experience by strategically aligning and integrating the various elements of our offerings. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all Product Managers (f/m/d) within your domain work collaboratively to build a cohesive customer journey that resonates with our users and supports our business objectives.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Your methods are rooted in customer-centricity, seeking out and amplifying the customer voice as a key driver in product development. You understand the importance of balancing customer wins with business objectives, striving to satisfy both continuously.
  • Empowerment and Collaboration: Strengthen the autonomy of Product Managers (f/m/d) by being the main contact for cross-functional collaboration and ensuring consistency in product development practices. Promote stronger collaboration between product teams, aiming for organizational autonomy and team-level empowerment.
  • Leading by functional Authority: In our matrix organization, you'll exercise leadership through your expertise and professional authority, guiding product strategies and aligning teams without direct disciplinary control. This role emphasizes the power of strategic vision and collaborative influence, creating a dynamic environment where cross-functional partnerships and expertise-driven leadership thrive.

Why you should join Trusted Shops:

  • As the most relevant asset, we care for teams and the organisation. Your Manager (f/m/d) actively supports you in your personal development and works on removing organisational impediments.
  • We care about your health with monthly health activities and give you 1 additional day of holiday if you collect enough ‘Health Activity Stars’ in a year.
  • We care about your education – every last friday of the month is the self education friday, where you can join our internal tech talks, read a book or take time to work on your goals.

What your day might look like as a Group Product Manager (f/m/d) at our company:

  • Starting your day: Begin by setting up your mobile working environment or adjusting your workspace at the office to get into the right mindset.
  • Morning Focus: Dive into strategic planning by reviewing key metrics and assessing the progress towards domain goals. This might involve coordinating with Product Managers (f/m/d) to gather insights, analyze data, and prioritize tasks for the day.
  • Team Sync: Join a stand-up meeting with your domain team to align on objectives, address any blockers, and provide guidance where needed. Use this time to ensure everyone is on the same page with the domain roadmap and priorities.
  • Strategic Alignment: Engage in discussions with other Group Product Managers (f/m/d) to ensure your domain’s strategies are aligned with overall company objectives. This might involve cross-domain coordination to foster synergy and open communication.
  • Product Decision Making: Throughout the morning, make key product decisions and justify them with data and strategic insights. Collaborate closely with Product Managers (f/m/d) to ensure these decisions are well-understood and supported.
  • Lunch Break: Take a well-deserved break. Whether grabbing a bite at home with your significant other or exploring new restaurants around the office with colleagues, recharge for the afternoon ahead.
  • Workshops and Meetings: Participate in or lead various work sessions. It’s up to you and your team how long and in which constellations these are conducted, promoting flexibility and collaborative work culture.
  • Afternoon Sessions: After lunch, you might focus on providing coaching and sparring for Product Managers (f/m/d) . Did anyone ran into problems recently? You can help out with fostering professional growth and enhancing product strategies.
  • End-of-Day Wrap-Up: If you're still in the office, you might unwind with a free drink on the rooftop terrace, reflecting on the day's achievements. Remember, we value work-life balance and discourage working late into the night.
  • Self-Education Day: If it’s your monthly self-education day, focus on learning and self-improvement activities. Spend the day following a self-chosen agenda with no meetings, dedicated entirely to your professional growth.

Thibaut Charprenet
Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer, I work as part of the Advertising Product team. Together, we get to make most of the critical decisions about our products and enjoy plenty of freedom in the way we shape our roadmap.

My daily work never gets boring and always looks different depending on what phase of a project we are working on: in the discovery phase, I take care of the user research and data collection that will inform our decisions. In the conceptual phase, I deliver the user journey and the wireframes before moving to the more final graphic design. Finally, I also drive the user testing rounds or customer interviews to validate our new releases and establish the next UX improvements.

Every step of the way, I can rely on our in-house UX team to help me organise workshops, get feedback or support me with more advanced graphic tasks, such as illustrations and animations. Among the many excellent reasons to join Trusted Shops, the amazing UX team and our great diversity of profiles and colourful personalities would probably be my number one!
