Your duties

At Trusted Shops, we believe in a digital world where trust is the foundation of every online transaction. With over 30,000 online retailers and millions of consumers placing their confidence in our solutions, we are on a mission to build Europe’s Community of Trust.

Headquarted in Cologne, Germany, more than 700 Trustees work across Europe every day to shape a digital world where shoppers and stores can connect with confidence.

For us great products always come with great UX. Therefore, we are looking for you: an experienced and passionate UX Product Designer (m/f/d) to join us in raising the user experience and visual appeal of our entire B2C and B2B product portfolio to the next level.

You will work together with our cross-functional product development teams and our UX team to improve the user experience of our products. You know how to create an understanding of the needs and motivations of both our customers and their end-users and how to translate your findings into a state-of-the-art interface with a top-notch visual quality.

Your profile

What your day as a UX Product Designer might look like

  • Start your day with setting up your mobile working environment – or adjusting your table at the office and having a coffee with your colleagues.

  • Meet your Product Team in the daily stand-up. Discuss pressing topics and define what you want to accomplish today.

Time to get into the tunnel. Work on your current task fully focussed, may it be the preparation of a user testing or getting the visual design ready to hand over.

  • Lunch break! Grab a bite at home or maybe gather a few team members and colleagues and explore the restaurants around the office.

  • Support your Product Design peers in an ideation session in the afternoon. This workshop should lay the groundwork for developing a compelling product vision together.

  • Still in the office? Get a free drink on the rooftop terrace before going home, maybe? And remember: We don’t believe into working till the middle of the night here.

  • Or was this your monthly self-education day? In which case, no meetings for you today, but a self-chosen agenda of learning and self-improvement.

You will develop UX concepts, perform user tests, build high fidelity designs, and take care of

  • UI and Interaction Design.

  • Product Discovery, User Research & Usability Testing.

  • Information Architecture.

  • Creation of flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.

  • Evaluation of new products and features.

  • Maintaining and evolving our Design System.

Your profile

  • 3 years + of experience in the world of UX Design

  • You attach great importance to the small details of user experience while being pragmatic in shipping features iteratively.

  • You know how to translate the outcomes of your UX research into a state-of-the-art interface with a top-notch visual quality.

  • For the early evaluation of products and features, written concepts, prototypes and early (visual) exploration are your first reflex.

  • You have already gained experience with the execution of user research and enrich your assumptions with real business data.

  • You take ownership of your products and projects and are not afraid to conduct internal and external research or organise and facilitate workshops when necessary.

  • You are fluent in English. German is a plus.

What we offer you

  • Hybrid work: Combine flexible remote work with team time in the office

  • Workation: Temporarily work from a destination of your choice within EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway

  • Permanent contract with Europe's trusted brand

  • 28 vacation days + 2.5 additional days off at Christmas, New Year's Eve and Carnival

  • Buddy programme (an experienced trustee is at your side)

  • Individual training opportunities

  • Events (Team Events, Unit Events, etc.)

  • Health Pass (free online and offline sports, fitness and health courses)

Thibaut Charprenet
Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer, I work as part of the Advertising Product team. Together, we get to make most of the critical decisions about our products and enjoy plenty of freedom in the way we shape our roadmap.

My daily work never gets boring and always looks different depending on what phase of a project we are working on: in the discovery phase, I take care of the user research and data collection that will inform our decisions. In the conceptual phase, I deliver the user journey and the wireframes before moving to the more final graphic design. Finally, I also drive the user testing rounds or customer interviews to validate our new releases and establish the next UX improvements.

Every step of the way, I can rely on our in-house UX team to help me organise workshops, get feedback or support me with more advanced graphic tasks, such as illustrations and animations. Among the many excellent reasons to join Trusted Shops, the amazing UX team and our great diversity of profiles and colourful personalities would probably be my number one!
